Profesor Asociado de la Facultad de Ciencias Biológicas de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Lima, Perú. Doctor en Ciencias con área de concentración: Genética y evolución. Maestría en Genética Evolutiva y Biología Molecular. Bachiller en Genética y Biotecnología, con título profesional de Biólogo Genetista y Biotecnólogo. Mi principal interés es estudiar los procesos que moldearon la gran biodiversidad neotropical, con trabajos en peces neotropicales, moluscos terrestres, aves y reptiles, entre otros. Actúo en las áreas de filogenia molecular, filogeografía, genética de poblaciones, DNA barcoding y genómica evolutiva. Responsable de varios proyectos con fondos concursables.
