FRANCO CONCHA PEDRO PATRICIO
Pedro Franco is in charge of the 10,000 women program, a joint effort of Goldman Sachs, FOMIN, Thunderbird University, Universidad del Pacífico and other local institutions. His faculty team partnered Thunderbird University faculty team to design a curriculum of 150 hours to train 700 Peruvian entrepreneur women in business and management education.
Pedro is a full time professor and researcher at Universidad del Pacífico in Lima, Perú. He is a microfinance and SME´s expert, a financial advisor, a CSR consultant and financial director of private sector companie s. Pedro has published on Financial Statement analysis, Microfinance, business plan, SME and Corporate Governance. He is also interested in Social Responsibility, Social Inclusion and Sustainability.
He has just been appointed as a member of the Banco de Comercio´s Board of Director in April 2013.
Pedro joined Universidad del Pacífico after graduating in the School of Business Administration and Accountancy in 1983. In 1997 he moved to Washington D.C. to pursue his Master in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business. He was elected twice as Chairman of the Accountancy Faculty and Dean of the School of Business Administration and Accountancy between 2005 and 2008. He was also appointed as Director of the Consulting Service until July 2009.
Pedro was born in Lima Perú, lived in Washington D.C., USA, and Bogotá, Colombia.
