POW SANG PORTILLO JOSE ANTONIO

José Antonio Pow Sang Portillo es doctor en Ingeniería Informática y doctor en Ingeniería por el programa de Doctorado Conjunto entre la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) y la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP). Es máster en Ingeniería del Software por la UPM, ingeniero informático y licenciado en Educación con especialidad en Educación para el Desarrollo por la PUCP, además ha concluido los estudios en el Doctorado en Ciencias de la Educación de la PUCP. Es profesor principal y director de la Maestría en Informática desde el 2011. Fue director ejecutivo de la Escuela de Posgrado por ocho años y coordinador de la especialidad de Ingeniería Informática por cinco años en la PUCP y durante ese periodo participó en la acreditación del programa con ICACIT, ABET y CEAB. Fue elegido presidente de la Sección Perú de la IEEE Computer Society por dos periodos, del 2015 al 2018. Es evaluador habilitado en ICACIT. Representó al país en el área de Informática en el proyecto Alfa Tuning América Latina, proyecto en el que se definieron las competencias genéricas y específicas que deberían tener los profesionales del área (http://www.tuningal.org/). Obtuvo el Premio Excelencia Perú-2018 de Elsevier en la categoría de Educación, el Reconocimiento a la Investigación en la PUCP desde el 2009 y el Premio a la Innovación en la Docencia Universitaria de la PUCP en el 2015 y 2017. Obtuvo la beca UPM-Santander para realizar estudios de doctorado, por dos periodos, en la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid y la beca BAPE Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window para realizar una estancia académica en la Universidad de Barcelona. Ha participado como conferencista, ponente, organizador, miembro del comité científico de conferencias internacionales en sus áreas de investigación. Sus intereses en investigación son experimentación en Ingeniería del Software, métricas y estimación en proyectos de software, interacción humano-computador y educación en ingeniería e informática

Estimación y Planificación en Proyectos de Software que Empleen Ciclos de Vida Incrementales y Paradigma Orientado a Objetos La estimación de costos y esfuerzos continúa siendo una de las tareas más difíciles en la gestión de un proyecto de software. Esta actividad es realizada por el jefe de proyecto, quien es responsable de hacer de dichas estimaciones lo más precisas posible.
