ROSAS LIZARRAGA BLANCA SILVIA

Silvia Rosas es Ingeniero Geólogo de la Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (UNI) y PhD de la Universidad de Heidelberg (UH) – Alemania. Contando con experiencia docente previa en la UNI y en investigación científica en la UH, ingresó a la docencia en la Sección Ingeniería de Minas de la PUCP en el año 2001, siendo actualmente profesora ordinaria principal. Desde el 2011 es Coordinadora de la Sección Ingeniería de Minas que incluye la carrera de Ingeniería Geológica, generando durante su gestión un número importante de proyectos de cooperación con empresas e instituciones nacionales e internacionales. Se ha desempeñado como Coordinadora del Proyecto de Creación y fortalecimiento de Doctorados de la Escuela de Posgrado, como parte del Plan Estratégico Institucional de la PUCP, a través del cual se evaluaron todos los programas de doctorado y se sentaron las pautas para la creación de nuevos programas. Ha sido vicepresidente de la Sociedad Geológica del Perú, es coordinadora para el Perú ante la red internacional “Geo-Network of Latinamerican-German Alumni - GOAL” y representante de la región Sudamérica ante el Comité Ejecutivo del “World Forum of Universities of Resources on Sustainability - WFURS”. Ha participado en diversos eventos nacionales e internacionales (Alemania, Australia, Brasil, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, España, Francia, Finlandia, Inglaterra, Suiza, Tunes, USA), exponiendo sus temas de investigación, realizados y publicados en cooperación con la Universidad de Ginebra-Suiza, University of Applied Sciences Dresden-Alemania, Clausthal University of Technology-Alemania, Tankard Enterprises-Canadá y University of Southern California-USA. Sus dos proyectos internacionales de investigación actuales son “Petrographical and Geochemical Features coupled with Geophysical Observations on the Nazca Lines” y “Extinct carbonate ramps & platforms overwhelmed by siliceous sponges after the Triassic/Jurassic mass extinction (evidence from the USA and Peru)”.
