GONZALES GUSTAVSON ELOY ANIBAL Médico Veterinario egresado de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos y Doctor en Biotecnología por la Universidad de Barcelona. Actualmente me desempeño como docente investigador en el Instituto Veterinario de Investigación Tropical y de Altura de la Facultad de Medicina Veterinaria en la UNMSM. La mayor parte de mi investigación está relacionada con la evaluación de la dinámica de transmisión de enfermedades parasitarias como Taenia solium y de enfermedades transmitidas por agua y alimentos. Mi grupo de investigación trabaja en la elaboración de modelos matemáticos que nos permiten evaluar el impacto de las enfermedades in silico, corroborar estos resultados en el campo y de esta manera diseñar y evaluar estrategias de control y mitigación de los riesgos de transmisión de zoonosis en animales y humanos. El objetivo último de nuestras investigaciones es evaluar el impacto de las enfermedades y enfocar los escasos recursos en el desarrollo de intervenciones con mayor impacto en la salud pública.
