Temas de investigación: Estudio pluridisciplinar de la estructura y dinámica de los volcanes con el estudio de los sistemas hidrotermales: desarrollo de métodos geo eléctricos (polarización espontánea y tomografía de resistividad eléctrica) acoplado con los métodos térmicos y gases de los suelos. Participación a 23 proyectos científicos. Organización de 63 misiones de campo en los volcanes: Stromboli, Vulcano, Misti, Ubinas, Vesubio, Piton de la Fournaise, Etna, Karthala, Pico del Teide, Santa Maria, Soufrière Hills, Yasur, Soufrière de Guadalupa, La Palma, Sabancaya, Pisciarelli, Solfatara, Huaynaputina, San Salvador. 17 Reviews en revistas internacionales de nivel A.
